You'll be wondering who this soul is and why you're on his blogspot. Well, the owner of this spot happens to be a magician – a magician who weaves words to his satisfaction, leaving his audience (which, admittedly, is only himself) in awe and fulfillment.
Disregard the above paragraph; it's the work of one of my heteronyms, who's obviously crazy. 'Crazy' is such a fancy word, isn't it? We can use it to describe anyone whose words or actions we don't understand.
Going forward, this blog will feature:
- Random ramblings that only make sense to me
- Random ramblings that only make sense to you
- Just random ramblings, really
I won't promise you paradise on this ride; it's just the usual things you'd expect. Or are they really usual, or am I the only one who sees them that way? Can't say, really – it's just some random ramblings.
These ramblings will include, but aren't limited to:
- Analysis of books I've read, songs I've listened to, and movies I've watched
- Musings about the stars I love, precious words, punctuation that resonates with me, and other things that catch my meandering heart
You'll stumble upon a wide variety of thoughts, in both Hausa and English. That's why this blog is named Tunanikan Jimrau, which translates to 'Thoughts of Jimrau.' And Jimrau is? Yours Faithfully- bows shyly*
I'm also planning to share lyrics from great Hausa songs by talented musicians like Misbahu M Ahmad, Nura M Inuwa, and Alan waƙa. Their creativity knows no bounds, and their talent for crafting beautiful words sadly remains underappreciated beyond our community.
This is a trial for me, of course. Translating these lyrics will be challenging, but I'll do my utmost best to provide them. I hope that one day, the world will appreciate these artists, though it won't be enough – they deserve more, even from beyond our realm.
